This role is part of a specialized team of Cybersecurity Professionals focused on classified systems within Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) C2BMC Cybersecurity.


The ideal candidate will have a robust background in the development, execution, and upkeep of Windows and Linux Servers/Clients, PC Desktops, network devices, and associated applications.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the US Government system accreditation process under the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

This may involve familiarity with one or more of the following directives:
DoDI, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, and Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI). The ISSO will oversee systems security, testing, and accreditation processes for various training platforms.


Successful candidates will need a solid foundation in Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and vulnerability scanning, along with the development of system security plans, maintaining the Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM), and other security-related processes, including part sanitization, vulnerability scanning, and virus scanning.

The candidate will conduct routine security assessments and provide engineering-level research as needed. The candidate will apply IT security principles, configure security settings, implement security patches, and perform media reviews.

Assist in crafting and executing government-approved information security protocols and plans for the operation of multiple interconnected systems while coordinating with government agencies for necessary approvals.

Consult on the design, development, integration, and analysis of classified computing systems alongside the programs and information systems security manager (ISSM).

Assist with self-inspection evaluations and conduct thorough investigations of computer security incidents, collaborating with other organizations for expertise.

Basic Qualifications:

Final Secret Clearance.

DoD IAT Level II certification: CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security + CE, or SSCP is required prior to application.

Experience with NIST SP800-53 Security Controls.
Experience in continuous monitoring of system security controls.
Ability to cultivate effective team and customer relationships.
Capability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, demanding environment.
Knowledge of other security disciplines and their interaction with information system security.
Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal relations, organizational, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Desired Skills:

Extensive experience with:
Nessus Security Center, McAfee EPO, eSTIG, etc.
Familiarity with NISPOM, RMF, DAAPM, and JSIG certification and accreditation processes.
Experience working with classified information systems.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Attention to detail and strict adherence to established security policies.
eMASS experience.
Prior ISSO/ISSM experience.

Understanding of networking concepts and cybersecurity tools, including Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), as well as vulnerability scanners.

Security Clearance Statement: This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be US Citizens for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
