Job Overview

TEKsystems is actively looking for a Project Management Specialist in the Telecommunications sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the scheduling for installation technicians efficiently.

Conduct welcome calls to clients within 48 hours of booking.

Execute pre-installation calls to verify site readiness.

Confirm appointments by reaching out to customers.

Accurately process job closeouts.

Prepare all necessary documentation for jobs and organize packets/files for installers and other departments (such as permitting and warehouse).

Proactively follow up on jobs and collaborate with relevant departments to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure job completion.

Provide daily updates to the Installation Portal (TIP) and Labor Scheduler (Gantt).

Update TIP upon any job interactions (calls, orders, follow-ups, etc.).

Close out National Account Jobs and manage cancellations as needed.

Communicate with National Account Coordinators regarding site readiness and scheduling matters.

Engage with Sales representatives to gather additional information as required.

Contact the Data team for confirmation numbers for non-monitored accounts.

Ensure that the local SSO warehouse is maintained as a safe, organized, and secure facility, taking immediate corrective actions when necessary.

Adhere to safety practices in the warehouse, including wearing appropriate PPE and ensuring a zero-harm environment.

Complete daily, weekly, and monthly material handling tasks, including:

  • Ordering parts for customer jobs.
  • Receiving parts both physically and in the inventory system (Oracle).
  • Dispatching materials to technicians and issuing equipment for jobs.
  • Requesting RMAs and returning parts to vendors.
  • Verifying all orders for accuracy.
  • Staging parts in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pulling and packing materials.
  • Coordinating with freight carriers regarding daily bills of lading.
  • Preparing shipping documents as necessary.
  • Performing general warehouse duties, including housekeeping, stocking, safety, and maintenance.
  • Following up with vendors and procurement on parts status and estimated time of arrival.
  • Updating the Installation Portal with part status.
  • Searching for parts availability in other branches to meet customer expectations.
  • Conducting special projects such as physical inventories, cycle counts, and rightsizing.
  • Reviewing supply chain reports and completing necessary transactions to maintain inventory accuracy.

Required Skills:

Fire safety, CCTV, access control, warehouse operations, customer service, inventory tracking, project coordination, inventory management.

Additional Qualifications:

We seek a self-motivated individual who can manage their responsibilities independently without requiring constant supervision. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with Sales, Customers, and Operations.
