Role Summary

The Human Resources Strategic Partner will lead and implement HR policies and programs, balancing the needs of the workforce with operational requirements. This position will advocate for fair treatment and foster positive employee relations while providing comprehensive HR support in areas such as employee engagement, compensation strategies, performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and leadership development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a consultant to management, ensuring compliance with employment laws and addressing personnel issues effectively.
  • Facilitate leadership support to achieve departmental goals through regular meetings and collaborative efforts.
  • Address routine employee relations challenges and escalate complex issues to senior HR leadership as necessary.
  • Assist employees and managers with inquiries related to benefits, policy interpretation, and HR services.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and databases, including performance and corrective action logs.
  • Collaborate with management to interpret HR policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Communicate policy changes to employees and conduct informative presentations.
  • Participate in team meetings to enhance knowledge across all HR functions through training and development opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations regarding onboarding, employment practices, and employee relations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns, documenting findings and recommending actions as needed.
  • Analyze feedback from exit interviews to provide insights for management aimed at improving retention.
  • Facilitate HR training sessions for staff to enhance understanding of HR policies and practices.
  • Manage the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, background checks, and new hire orientation.
  • Provide analytical support for various HR projects and initiatives.
  • Oversee the management of employee leave programs, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to leverage expertise in implementing HR initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of HR experience, or HR certification with 4 years of relevant experience.

  • Preferred HR Certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment regulations.
  • Proficient in various HR disciplines.
  • Ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving capabilities.
