Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Valor. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department, ensuring that all HR-related tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the HR Team regarding human resources related activities, policies, and processes.
• Assist in hiring and interviewing staff as needed.
• Assist with onboarding process and new hire orientation.
• Process payroll, employee benefits, and leave programs.
• Provide guidance on corrective action and conflict resolution.
• Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints.
• Assist in keeping the HR department in compliance.
• Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database.
• Complete job-related training courses and/or seminars, as may be required for the job.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in human resources, HR Certification, or equivalent experience
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with employee information.
• Advanced knowledge of employment laws, rules and regulations, policies and procedures, and audit and internal control guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to assess when an issue must be escalated to the next level.
• Must be analytic, detailed-oriented, highly organized, and have excellent follow-up skills.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS software.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to accomplish assignments.
• Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office.
• Must maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Ability to occasionally travel for employee meetings and other activities.
• Reliable transportation is required.
