The Area Quality Assurance Lead is a pivotal clinical position within our operational framework.

  • Collaborates closely with the National Clinical Audit Lead to comprehend the necessary quality benchmarks.
  • Accountable for ensuring compliance with the CHDA clinical quality assurance framework.
  • Oversees the execution of the clinical quality assurance program within their designated area, including managing formal audit activities.
  • Ensures that Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Clinical Standards Practitioners are well-versed in the QA criteria.
  • Conducts clinical audits and case evaluations as needed.
  • Mentors and evaluates the performance of Clinical Standards Practitioners and HCPs in their case review and formal clinical audit tasks.
  • Gathers local trends and reports findings to the national clinical audit lead to formulate solutions for continuous improvement in clinical standards.
  • Engages in discussions with area colleagues and the national clinical advisory team to exchange knowledge and best practices, driving enhancements across CHDA.
  • Completes sufficient assessments to uphold professional registration and adapts flexibly to the organization's needs.
  • Serves as a registered healthcare practitioner (nurse, physician, physiotherapist, occupational therapist) in a CHDA assessment center or similar environment.
  • Demonstrates effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and fosters positive relationships with medical and administrative staff.
  • Applies professional expertise and manages personal accountability in line with the governing body's Code of Conduct.
  • Adheres to all continuous professional development requirements.
  • Effectively coaches and mentors HCPs to enhance and sustain performance standards.
  • Ensures that professional practice standards and best practices are upheld across all work areas.
  • Delivers productivity and quality standards as agreed upon between the Center and the DWP, responding constructively to feedback.
  • Qualification to deliver Stage 3 training is advantageous.
  • Qualified to conduct CHDA case audits and provide guidance on writing reports that meet high standards.
  • Exhibits flexibility and adaptability.
  • Understands, anticipates, and meets immediate and medium-term client needs.
  • Collaborates effectively with others to foster a performance-driven culture.
  • Communicates proficiently in both verbal and written forms, tailoring communication to the audience's needs, and interacts constructively with diverse groups.
  • Maintains professionalism in challenging interactions.
