Job Title: Program Manager 2

At Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., we are seeking an experienced Program Manager 2 to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts and their portfolios, understanding our customers' platforms and solutions, and identifying and documenting customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, plan, and drive projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of the principles of project management and apply them effectively on small to large size projects.
  • Have responsibility for projects or processes of significant technical importance and for results that cross engineering project areas.
  • Initiate significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiency.
  • Create and maintain project management artifacts such as schedule, resource, and resource forecast, risk, and issues logs.
  • Provide unique views of project status updates and facilitate cross-development team dependencies and communications.
  • Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions.
  • Collect, analyze, organize, and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports.

  • Detailed-oriented, self-driven with a strong sense of pride and ownership.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively as a self-starter and as part of a team.
  • Proactively involve team members in planning, decision-making, and execution efforts.
  • People management experience is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to handle all levels of interaction, including executive level.
  • Horizontal leadership/matrix management experience.
  • Technical program management and customer relationship management.
  • Collaborate in problem-solving and mitigating risks with Engineering, Program/Project Management, Business Units, and Product Management - both internal and external.
  • Strong knowledge of productivity and project tools including Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite.
Academic Credentials:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering.
  • Formal project management education, PMP/Scrum Master.
