Key Responsibilities :

Provides timely, efficient, and friendly service by demonstrating care, concern, and patience in all customer interactions, treating customers as the top priority. Greets customers warmly and with a smile, regardless of the location within the store. Strives to learn and use customers' names whenever possible. Assists customers by: (for example) noting and relaying customer feedback or requests, and performing various tasks to enhance the shopping experience. Answers phone calls promptly and provides friendly, helpful assistance to callers. Collaborates with team members to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive work atmosphere. Accurately operates the cash register, scans items, and reports any discrepancies in cash levels. Processes promotional coupons, accepts cash, checks, and credit card transactions, calculates discounts, and provides change and receipts. Packages merchandise for customers and ensures they receive their orders. Maintains an adequate supply of utensils, condiments, and beverage containers for customer use. Replenishes and oversees the coffee service area, ensuring all supplies are available. Follows proper sanitation protocols and keeps the work area clean and organized. Adheres to company policies and individual store standards regarding personal hygiene and appearance. Reports to work as scheduled and punctually.

Additional Responsibilities:

Assists with clearing tables in dining areas. May help deliver orders to dining areas from various food stations. Provides support in other store areas as required. Performs other job-related tasks and special projects as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions and manage a few concrete variables. Proficient in basic arithmetic, including fractions, decimals, and percentages, and capable of making change. Ability to comprehend and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; capable of writing identifying information and requesting supplies.

Education and Experience:

No specific educational requirements.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. (Accommodations can be made) Visual requirements include the ability to see at various distances, depth perception, color recognition, and a wide field of vision. Must be capable of performing physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Work Environment:

This role may involve exposure to temperature extremes and moisture. There are potential hazards from equipment movement, electrical shock, and exposure to cleaning agents. The work environment is fast-paced.

Equipment Utilized:

Equipment includes pallet jacks, box cutters, cash registers, trash compactors, calculators, telephones, intercoms, cardboard compactors, copiers, and faxes (within wage and hour guidelines).

Interactions:

Regular contact with customers, colleagues, suppliers, and the general public.
