Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality dental hygiene services to patients, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, and patient education.
  • Assess and prioritize patient hygiene schedules to ensure optimal patient flow and efficient use of resources.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to patient, clinical, and operational concerns.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and support practice and organizational goals.
  • Participate in ongoing performance reviews and professional development to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene.
  • Current North Carolina Dental Hygienist license or immediate eligibility.
  • CPR certification required; BLS certification a plus.
  • Preferred clinical experience in a high-functioning dental office, with a preference for experience operating in an assisted hygiene model.
  • Training on an electronic medical record, with EPIC training a major plus.
  • Local anesthesia training a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and dental patient screening and medical history documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time management and punctuality.
  • A positive attitude and professionalism as a representative of High Point University.
  • Receptive to feedback, performance improvement, and continuous coaching.
  • Flexibility to cover other offices under High Point University.
Accountability
  • Director of Clinical Operations.
  • Evaluation: Ongoing performance reviews conducted along with an annual assessment by the CDO and includes input from the faculty and students.
