Job Summary

Victorian Senior Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dining Room Assistant to join our team. As a Dining Room Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our residents during meal times.

Responsibilities

Serve food and beverages to residents in a professional and courteous manner

Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and kitchen equipment

Assist with food preparation, including making beverages and portioning out desserts

Ensure that all residents have access to necessary items, such as butter, jelly, sugar, and sweet-n-low

Help with laundry and cleaning duties, including washing dishes and sweeping and mopping the dining room

Assist with stocking pantry and keeping stock room clean and organized

Maintain a safe and respectful environment for residents, including keeping refrigerators clean and wiping down surfaces

Requirements

Must be able to read, write, and understand directions

Must have a clear SBI and DMV record and maintain them during period of employment

Must be at least 16 years old

Must be able to lift, push, or pull minimum of 50 pounds

Must obtain a two-step tuberculin skin test (first step prior to hire and second step within two weeks of first test)

Must wear slip-resistant shoes while working in dietary at all times

Qualifications

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Must be able to adapt to changing situations and priorities

Working Conditions

Must be able to work in a kitchen environment with hot equipment and sharp objects

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions

Must be able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision

Must be able to maintain a clean and organized workspace
