Job Overview

Position: Machine Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift

Compensation: Salary Negotiable

Shift Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various CNC and multi-functional electronic and/or electromechanical control systems utilized in industrial and precision machinery.
  • Conduct tests and analyze malfunctions, modifying, repairing, adjusting, and maintaining the mechanical components of automatic control instruments and associated recording devices essential for the operation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Operate machinery through necessary cycles to verify the mechanical aspects of electronic and/or electromechanical systems, identifying any deviations from specifications.
  • Evaluate test results to pinpoint and ascertain the root cause of malfunctions.
  • Adjust and modify settings on related equipment to ensure proper alignment of mechanical systems.
  • Repair defective components and re-evaluate systems as needed.
  • Perform incidental welding tasks as part of routine maintenance duties.
  • Assess equipment failures to determine whether issues arise from control systems or mechanical components.
  • Set up and utilize precision testing tools and equipment, conducting a series of complex operational tests.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • A 2-year Technical degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in welding, diagnosing CNC equipment issues, troubleshooting mechanical systems, repairing spindle alignments, and ensuring machine positioning accuracy is essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams, schematics, and performance specifications related to industrial manufacturing equipment, including CNC multi-functional electronic and/or electromechanical control systems.
  • Possession of basic hand tools, including but not limited to wrenches, sockets, ratchets, and screwdrivers.
