Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a range of CNC and multi-functional electronic and electro-mechanical control systems utilized in industrial and precision machinery.
  • Conduct tests and analyze malfunctions, making modifications, repairs, adjustments, and performing maintenance on mechanical components of automatic control instruments and associated recording devices used in industrial manufacturing.
  • Operate machinery through necessary cycles to verify the mechanical aspects of electronic and electro-mechanical systems, identifying any deviations from established specifications.
  • Evaluate test results to pinpoint and ascertain the root cause of malfunctions.
  • Adjust and modify settings on related equipment to ensure proper alignment of mechanical systems.
  • Repair defective components and re-evaluate systems as required.
  • Perform incidental welding tasks as part of routine maintenance duties.
  • Investigate equipment failures to determine whether issues stem from control systems or mechanical origins.
  • Set up various precision testing tools and equipment, conducting a series of comprehensive operational tests.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • A 2-year Technical degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in welding, diagnosing CNC equipment issues, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and ensuring spindle alignments and machine squareness is essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams, schematics, drawings, performance specifications, and operational requirements of industrial manufacturing equipment, including CNC multi-purpose electronic and electro-mechanical control systems.
  • Possession of basic hand tools, including but not limited to wrenches, sockets, ratchets, and screwdrivers.
