Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the deployment of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within production areas, engaging actively in design evaluations for processes that necessitate MES implementation while ensuring effective data collection and retention at every stage.
  • Spearhead the integration of system design software for MES across the facility, maintaining a proactive technological oversight in automation, robotics, industrial computing, and relevant communication networks.
  • Contribute to the formulation and documentation of functional specifications and process architectures for assembly lines, whether manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Design innovative standalone and web-based automated solutions tailored for various processes across different functional sectors.
  • Ensure the automation and connectivity of manufacturing processes, adhering to the Principles of SPS.
  • Develop comprehensive software and process documentation, including training materials for end users as necessary.
  • Transition and document existing digital tools into a more robust software platform.
  • Conduct regular failure analyses on software and equipment to implement cost-effective enhancements, ensuring maximum process and equipment reliability.
  • Prepare procurement documentation, including specifications for equipment and software, and coordinate upgrades or installations with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IT network infrastructure with both new and existing systems.
  • Interface effectively with product development, manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and finance departments.
  • Demonstrate adaptability with a strong ability to research, learn, and apply new skills swiftly, particularly in emerging technologies such as AI and robotics.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and maintain high standards for both quality and quantity of work.
  • Advocate for data-driven decision-making and foster consensus-building among team members.

Qualifications for Success:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT engineering or related fields, particularly in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in software development with at least two high-level programming languages.
  • Experience in PLC programming (Arduino) with sensor integration is preferred.
  • Knowledge of wireless networking and network security.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to develop and accurately document processes and source code.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL and PHP; knowledge of C language is advantageous.
  • Capability to read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit diagrams, as well as product specifications and BOMs.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of Android OS is beneficial.
