This role is crucial in ensuring that our manufacturing facilities produce the highest quality products efficiently by utilizing and refining automated control systems. How You'll Make an Impact

We seek a quick learner who can become a subject matter expert in our production landscape. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring machine safety standards: Conducting Machine Risk Assessments and verifying that control systems for safety meet Sistema Level D criteria. Reviewing new machine documentation to ensure compliance with Valvoline safety standards.
  • Supporting blending and packaging systems across North American manufacturing facilities, requiring proficiency in Siemens PCS7, Rockwell ControlLogix, SLC, PLC5, FactoryTalk View, and AutoCAD.
  • Assisting with capital projects led by Process, Packaging, and plant engineers that involve control components.
  • Overseeing third-party panel constructions for plant upgrades and capital projects, ensuring adherence to corporate standards, NFPA Standards, and industry best practices, along with a solid understanding of NEC and NFPA79.
  • Contributing to OT Networks and Cyber Security initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining a five-year EIC plan to address obsolescence in North American plants.
  • Providing expert guidance while collaborating with third-party control system support across domestic sites.
  • Engaging in continuous learning to stay updated with industry advancements.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by Valvoline as necessary.

What You'll Need

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Controls/Instrumentation).
  • 2-5 years of experience in consumer product controls and project execution.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Familiarity with Siemens PCS7 & Batch/DCS, ProFiBus DP & PA, Profinet, Rockwell PLCs and software, Sistema.
  • Understanding of Safety Controls (Machine safety) and Safety Systems Design & Programming, along with knowledge of safety categories.
  • Willingness to travel 40-50% of the time.
