Orthopedic Nurse Manager Position for Growth and Excellence

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN Ortho Joint Spine to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate nurse leader to promote growth, excellence, and unparalleled patient care.
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift. You will work closely with other members of the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serve as a resource person for staff, and model a commitment to our organization's vision/mission/values.
Responsibilities- You will provide day-to-day clinical management of the unit, maintaining customer satisfaction (patient, visitors, physicians, and staff) through efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- On an as-needed basis, you will perform therapeutic patient-centered post-operative nursing care for total knee, hip, shoulder, and other surgical procedures, acting as a role model for staff.
- You will assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure smooth transitions and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- In collaboration with other members of the management team, you will participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
- You will support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- You will support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- You will provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, as well as implementing courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization.
- You will assist with staff scheduling, managing all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- You will support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
