Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Emergency Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA. As an Emergency Nurse Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the emergency department during your designated shift.

Responsibilities
As an Emergency Nurse Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Participating in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the emergency department.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Supporting a patient-first philosophy and engaging in service recovery when necessary.
  • Supporting the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • One year of experience in emergency services is required.
  • A graduate degree in nursing is preferred.
  • A license to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a compact license is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
