Orthopedic Nurse Coordinator Lead for High-Quality Patient Care

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and leadership, with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
About the Role:
- Provide day-to-day clinical management of the orthopedic unit, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining a safe and respectful environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Perform therapeutic post-operative nursing care for total knee, hip, shoulder, and other surgical procedures, acting as a role model for staff and promoting excellence in patient care.
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other members of the management team to drive improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
- 3+ years of current nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferably in orthopedics or medical-surgical units.
- 1 year of leadership experience in a hospital setting, including staff supervision and performance evaluation.
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.

Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement savings plan, and education assistance programs.
