About the Role

The President/CEO of the Martinez Chamber of Commerce is a dynamic and experienced leader who will drive the organization's mission to promote economic growth and development in the Martinez area. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leadership, strategic thinking, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Chamber's strategic plan to achieve its mission and goals.
  • Lead and manage the Chamber's staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating employees.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, government officials, and community organizations.
  • Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies to promote the Chamber's programs and services.
  • Manage the Chamber's budget and finances, including developing and implementing financial plans and reports.
  • Represent the Chamber at local, regional, and state-level events and meetings.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a leadership or executive role, preferably in a non-profit or business organization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Chamber of Commerce or similar organization.
  • Knowledge of local, regional, and state-level government and politics.
  • Experience in marketing and communications, including social media and public relations.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, including Spanish.
