Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the President/CEO of the Martinez Chamber of Commerce. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing executive leadership to the Chamber and Visit Martinez, overseeing the general finances, personnel management, and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership to the Chamber and Visit Martinez
  • Oversee the general finances, including budgeting, financial management, and fundraising
  • Manage personnel, including hiring, firing, performance reviews, and salary administration
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for business development, community growth, and economic development
  • Represent the Chamber at business and community events, meetings, and conferences
  • Build partnerships with other organizations and stakeholders
  • Ensure the Chamber's policies and procedures are implemented and maintained
  • Monitor and report on the Chamber's performance and progress
Requirements
  • Minimum 5-10 years of management/executive-level experience in a business-related field
  • Previous Chamber management experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of local, regional, and state-level political systems and experience in developing collaborative relationships
  • Minimum of 3 years P&L responsibility is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
  • Graduate or student of Western Association of Chamber Executives Academy is preferred
What We Offer
