Physician Director of Hospice and Palliative Care

The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a dynamic and committed physician to serve as the Medical Director of Hospice and Palliative Care at the Martinez VA Medical Center. This leadership role will provide clinical oversight and programmatic planning for the 16-bed hospice unit within the Martinez Center for Rehabilitation and Extended Care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Hospice and Palliative Care Program
- Develop and implement programmatic plans to improve patient outcomes and quality of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and data-driven decision making
- Represent the program at local and national levels to promote best practices and advance the field of hospice and palliative care
Applicants must be board-certified physicians with expertise in hospice and palliative care. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving patient care and a commitment to advancing the field of hospice and palliative medicine.
