Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Medical Assistant/CNA/Phlebotomist/LPN/EMT to join our team at Conifer Medical Center. This full-time and part-time role involves working in a dynamic back office environment, supporting our medical staff and patients with a range of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct vital signs, including BP, HR, Pulse Ox, RR, Weight, and Temperature, as well as Orthostatic readings.
  • Provide compassionate care for patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric.
  • Room patients, including checking in and connecting them for Televisits.
  • Manage schedules efficiently while completing additional duties assigned by your manager.
  • Communicate with patients regarding Provider-interpreted lab results.
  • Schedule appointments for patients.
  • Stay up-to-date on pharmacology and review/update patient medications.
  • Troubleshoot patient concerns, equipment issues, and unusual scenarios.
  • Enter patient data into our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Update medical histories, medications, social histories, hospitalizations, surgeries, and more.
  • Administer injections and vaccinations, including IM, SUB-Q, and ID.
  • Perform in-house testing, such as EKGs, PFTs, X-ray setup, lab testing, MOCA, and more.
  • Maintain room stock and cleaning/sterilizing equipment.
  • Help facilitate DME equipment setup and coordinate same-day oxygen setup.
  • Assist providers with minor procedures and exams.
  • Explain treatment procedures, including colposcopies, vasectomies, and more.
  • Remove sutures, change wound dressings, and apply/remove casts.
  • Collect specimens for lab testing, including venipuncture and proper patient identification.
  • Process and send specimens to the correct lab.
  • Perform CLIA-waived in-house tests and enter results into the EMR system.
  • Triage calls and walk-in patients.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant/CNA/Phlebotomist/LPN/EMT program, or at least 2 years of on-the-job experience, with a willingness to train if needed.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (e-Clinical Works a plus).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong spelling and grammar skills.
  • Ability to participate in educational opportunities, read professional publications, and maintain personal networks.
  • Limited Scope Operator (State Certification) is a plus.
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification or willingness to schedule onsite training.
  • Ability to work 10+ hours in a standing position and perform frequent walking.
  • Able to lift and transfer patients.
