Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for a Lead Lifestyle and Interior Photographer to enhance our in-house production team. This role will be pivotal in supporting our Marketing department by producing high-quality imagery that reflects elevated aesthetics. We seek a seasoned professional with expertise in lighting, composition, art direction, and talent direction. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in both interior and lifestyle photography, demonstrating the ability to visually articulate creative concepts and a proven track record in photography direction for brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of creating interior, lifestyle, and product photography for various marketing and e-commerce initiatives on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with art directors and creative leaders to grasp campaign goals, creative visions, and stakeholder requirements. Develop concepts and mood boards to steer the visual direction of each project.
- Exhibit strong photographic techniques, lighting and composition principles, and a creative aesthetic to ensure all images uphold brand integrity and quality standards.
- Present visual concepts to stakeholders, partners, and external agencies.
- Work alongside the production team to identify ideal locations for photo shoots based on project specifications and client preferences. Conduct location scouting to evaluate lighting conditions, spatial layouts, and potential challenges, providing recommendations for optimal shoot sites.
- Formulate the photo shot list and shooting schedule; collaborate with video production when necessary to ensure cohesive synergy across photo and video projects.
- Oversee the upkeep and operation of photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories, ensuring all gear is calibrated and ready for use during shoots.
- Lead editing sessions in CaptureOne with partners and stakeholders to facilitate a smooth transition to the post-production team.
- Establish brand photography standards encompassing style, quality, lighting, depth, composition, storytelling, and capture workflows.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, techniques, and technologies in photography, interior design, and lifestyle branding.
Essential:
- 7+ years of editorial-level photography experience, either in-house or at a creative agency.
- Proven expertise in architecture, interiors, and lifestyle photography, along with experience in conceptual still-life, portrait, and documentary photography.
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills; meticulous attention to detail and the ability to anticipate needs. Capable of managing multiple photography projects concurrently while effectively aligning stakeholders, stylists, talent, and crew.
- Willingness to travel for shoots, both domestically and internationally.
- A strong portfolio that showcases your ability to capture the essence and character of interior spaces, candid lifestyle moments, and intricate product details.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and design, coupled with experience in pre-visualization and lighting diagrams.
- Expert proficiency in CaptureOne, Adobe Photoshop, and photography lighting techniques.
- Familiarity with G Suite and Adobe Suite.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in project management and familiarity with Asana.
- Base salary range of $95,000 - $110,000 per year.
- An annual bonus percentage that varies based on role level.
- Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company-sponsored 401K plans.
