Job Summary

Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled Legal & Administrative Consultant to join our litigation and investigative practice area in the Public Sector. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to lawyers, paralegals, and administrative staff in a fast-paced law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with a broad array of legal support matters, including document preparation, case management, and research.
  • Use independent decision-making, good judgment, and discretion in handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to optimize legal workflows, prepare court documents, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and meet court deadlines.
Requirements
  • Active and maintained Top Secret federal security clearance.
  • Five or more years of legal/clerical experience in a law firm, Government legal practice, or court of justice.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Adaptive and flexible work style with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Experience with litigation case management systems.
  • Ability to coordinate intake of new cases and requests for work on existing cases, case files, and tracking records.
  • Experience tracking progress on cases, including checking Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) notifications and reporting progress.
  • Experience in document scanning and copy.
  • Experience preparing files for hearings and trials, assembling binders, packing, and preparing information for delivery.
  • Experience providing front-of-office support, including telephone services, visitor escort assistance, and preparing materials for hearings and trials.
