Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer - Thermals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on thermal analysis and packaging design. They will be responsible for performing thermal analysis of electronic packaging of power converters and power conversion systems, and will work closely with the manufacturing team to resolve problem-solving and cost reduction measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thermal analysis of electronic packaging of power converters and power conversion systems
  • Direct and oversee thermal testing to correlate/validate thermal analysis results
  • Support manufacturing in resolution of problem-solving and cost reduction measures
  • Utilize graphical and visual aids effectively, including PowerPoint, EXCEL, and MSWord, to communicate results from analysis, simulation, and test
  • Formulate experimental approaches to problem-solving when appropriate, and identify and interpret relevant data
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4-7 years of experience; Master's degree preferred
  • Strong analytical skills in solving heat transfer problems
  • Familiarity with ANSYS Workbench finite element analysis tools using SpaceClaim to model and simulate heat transfer problems involving conduction, radiation, and convection
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, as well as be an effective contributor to team-based problem-solving and new product development activities
