Key Responsibilities:

As a Culinary Operations Leader at Torchy's, you will oversee all Back of House (BOH) functions, ensuring a safe and impeccably clean kitchen environment while fostering a culture of excellence. We seek an individual who is passionate about high-quality, scratch-made cuisine. This role requires a results-driven and self-motivated leader with a commitment to developing team members.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Managing food costs, placing orders, adjusting pricing, and conducting inventory checks.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring all BOH team members to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
  • Creating schedules for BOH team members to meet labor targets aligned with sales forecasts.
  • Ensuring adherence to recipes, proper weighing of prepped items, accurate recording of production numbers, and correct portioning of servings.
  • Utilizing feedback from Mystery Shops and operational assessments to create action plans that enhance food quality and service.
  • Communicating effectively with team members to provide clear direction.
  • Inspiring and leading team members in alignment with Torchy's core values.
  • Overseeing daily operations and running efficient shifts.
  • Collaborating with the Learning & Development team to ensure all BOH team members receive proper training and certification.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in kitchen management.
  • Required state alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe Certifications.
  • A strong understanding of training and development principles.
  • The ability to promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management abilities.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances.
  • Capability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for items on shelves at various heights.
