About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operating Room Surgical Aide to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients to and from the Operating Room and other locations
  • Assist nursing staff in the rooms with patient care, including positioning and transfer of anesthetized patients
  • Perform between-case cleaning to minimize turnaround between surgical procedures
  • Check status of stretchers and oxygen tanks to ensure they are ready and available for patient transport
  • Deliver specimens and blood products to the Laboratory or Radiology as directed by nursing personnel
  • Collaborate with other members of the surgical team to maintain a clean and organized Operating Room
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CPR training required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with patients and families
