Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Bilingual Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at At Home Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our pediatric patients and their families to provide exceptional care and support.

About the Role: As a Pediatric Bilingual Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will be responsible for providing speech and language disorder services to clients with language/communication disorders, swallowing disorders, or other related problems. You will work under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist and follow the treatment plan set up by them.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to pediatric patients with language/communication disorders, swallowing disorders, or other related problems.
  • Work closely with our pediatric patients and their families to understand their needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with our healthcare team, including speech-language pathologists, to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes.
  • Consult with supervising speech-language pathologists regarding changes to treatment plans and patient progress.
  • Implement changes to treatment plans as written by supervising speech-language pathologists and authorized by clients' physicians.

Requirements:

  • Requires in-depth understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge attained through graduation from an accredited speech and audiology program.
  • Must have and maintain current license as speech-language assistant, including maintaining observation and supervision records.
  • Requires ability to speak, read, and write English accurately.
  • Must have and maintain current valid Texas Drivers License and proof of current liability insurance.
  • Must submit to annual TB screening.
  • Must maintain current certificate of basic life support (CPR).
  • Computer software skills necessary to produce accurate documents and materials required. Working knowledge of MS Office preferred.
  • Requires ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds continuously to move objects.
