Job Overview

Franklin Automation, a member of the Neyret Group, is in search of a dedicated **Field Service Automation Engineer**. This full-time position involves providing expert technical assistance to clients across the United States, specifically for our affiliated companies, Guy Neyret S.A. and Lagniel SAS based in France. Key responsibilities encompass the installation, initiation, and commissioning of automated assembly systems, alongside preventive maintenance, training, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with automated assembly systems at client locations, ensuring equipment is operational.
  • Address service inquiries through remote troubleshooting methods when feasible.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a positive service experience.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and installation evaluations, providing recommendations for repairs or replacements.
  • Adhere to client facility and safety protocols while on-site.
  • Assist with warranty and non-warranty claims in collaboration with client personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with Neyret Group project teams to ensure project success.
  • Prepare detailed field service reports that evaluate machine performance and suggest enhancements.
  • Assemble, troubleshoot, and test machines prior to their delivery.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, BSME, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-6 years of practical experience in a mechanical or electrical setting.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing technical equipment.
  • Strong mechanical skills, including the ability to adjust, rectify, drill, and tap.
  • Capability to interpret technical drawings, reference manuals, and assembly instructions.
  • Experience with wiring sensors, actuators, air piping, and control valves is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel 35% – 45% of the time.
  • Eligible for domestic and international travel shortly after hiring.
  • Legally permitted to operate a licensed motor vehicle.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English in a professional context.
  • Authorized to work for employers in the United States.
