FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt
COMPENSATION: Base Rate: $18.00- $24.00 per hour
Plus Monthly Bonus and Milestone Bonus opportunities
Total Compensation Range: $50,180--$68,800 annually

POSITION PURPOSE
The Personal Training Lead is accountable for enhancing the personal training division, ensuring the achievement of all fitness financial objectives at their location. This is accomplished by cultivating and nurturing a high-performing team that empowers our members to reach their physical, mental, and emotional fitness aspirations while enjoying a premier experience with every visit.
PTLs supervise the personal training staff to deliver exceptional training sessions aimed at meeting monthly session goals and increasing overall client engagement. They collaborate with all team members to achieve monthly objectives for acquiring new personal training clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and cultivate a high-performing team, establishing a culture that aligns with VASA's core values and promotes accountability. The PTL is responsible for attracting, hiring, coaching, and maximizing the engagement of the personal training team.Enhance the acquisition of new clients while improving the retention of existing personal training clients.Develop a flexible personal training team capable of tailoring programs to meet the specific needs of each client, adhering to VASA's Care & Connect principles throughout the client journey.Create an inviting atmosphere in and around the Personal Training area by engaging with members, clients, and guests in a friendly, energetic, and inclusive manner.Ensure personal training clients receive exceptional value, maintaining consistent appearance and conduct from trainers, ensuring safe and clean training environments, and exceeding expectations.Foster a supportive community for all personal trainers and their clients by providing various tools and resources, conducting meaningful check-ins, and encouraging ongoing growth and development.Attract new clients through personal engagement with VASA members.Guide personal trainers on conducting consultations and recommending suitable personal training packages based on client goals.Collaborate with personal trainers to meet monthly sales targets for new client acquisition.Achieve monthly sales objectives, working with the team to contribute to overall success.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field preferred3+ years of experience in building high-performing teamsAt least 1 NCCA-accredited Personal Training CertificationCurrent CPR/AED certificationExcellent communication skillsOpen to innovative approaches and able to think creativelyOptimistic mindset with a proactive attitudeSelf-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and urgency, capable of working independently and collaborativelyStrong problem-solving abilitiesPassion for fitness and promoting healthy livingProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to lead and direct a teamRelevant management experience preferredPHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Effective communication skills, particularly in conveying detailed instructions clearly and promptly.Physical stamina for non-sedentary work, including standing and walking frequently, with the ability to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.Reasoning ability to navigate various variables under limited standardization and interpret instructions for clients.This position description aims to outline the general nature and level of work performed by individuals in this role.
