About Us

Mid Oregon Personnel, a leading manufacturer of high-tech equipment in Central Oregon, is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team. We offer a fast-paced production environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Assembly Technician to install and fit parts for heating / cooling and ventilation equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with precision assembling, engineering specifications, and reading blueprints.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Install and fit parts for heating / cooling and ventilation equipment.
  2. Consult with manufacturers, designers, line leads and Supervisors.
  3. Perform precision assembling.
  4. Read and interpret engineering specifications from text and drawings.
  5. Attach brackets, hinges, or clips to secure parts.
  6. Position and align subassemblies in jigs.
  7. Fitting and fastening sheet metal coverings to surface areas bolts, screws, or rivets accessories to fasten, support, or hang components and subassemblies.
  8. Drill holes in structure and subassemblies, and attach brackets, hinges, or clips to secure installation or to fasten subassemblies.
  9. Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprints and index points.
  10. Do joinery work that includes installing flashing and securing structural supports.
  11. Preparing, configuring, and assembling the required tools, including ladders, measuring tapes, hammer drill machines, and straightedges.
  12. Complying with relevant regulatory practices related construction projects and safety requirements.
  13. Carrying construction materials and metal stud frames from one place to another within the plant and assisting forklift operators with the transportation process.
  14. Inspecting completed work and verifying it against a design and blueprints.
  15. Operate power hand tools.
Requirements
  • Reliable, punctual with a positive attitude, self-starter.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Position requires bending, stooping, crouching, and climbing.
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
  • Climb ladders and work from ladder.
  • Work supported by harness and fall protection.
  • Fast-paced production environment.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Eye protection required; hearing protection sometimes required.

  • Capable working in large and small teams in a construction and manufacturing environment.
What We Offer

Mid Oregon Personnel offers a competitive salary range of $18.50 - $20.72 per hour, depending on shift. This role also offers opportunities for growth and development in a fast-paced production environment.
