Counselor - Community Re-entry Program Specialist

At Dismas Charities, we are seeking a skilled Counselor to join our team in providing quality community-based adult re-entry programs. As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in helping individuals heal and become productive citizens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and implement agency policies and procedures in counseling and treatment programs.
- Develop and coordinate individual program planning according to client needs, including relevant program goals, referrals, and counseling strategies.
- Guide and monitor resident movement, behavior, and progress.
- Utilize the FreshStart Client Management System effectively.
- Submit resident release plans, home confinement plans, and termination letters in a timely manner.
- Communicate relevant information to supervisory staff and other agencies.
- Provide staff duty coverage as scheduled.
- Attend and participate in required meetings.
- Maintain cooperative liaison activities with supervising authorities and other agencies.
Requirements:
- A four-year degree in social human services, criminal justice, or behavioral science program from an accredited college or university.
- At least one year of experience in human services or community-based services.
- Personal computer work experience using Windows operating systems.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, with a focus on Word and Excel applications.
- Good typing, spelling, grammar, organizational, and phone skills.
Benefits:
- Competitive pay: $16.50 per hour.
- A $500 sign-on bonus.
- Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
