Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Data Science to join our team at Walmart. As a key member of our data science organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing data-driven strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute data science initiatives from start to finish, including cross-functional project management, data collection and manipulation, analysis and modeling, and the communication of insights and recommendations.
  • Build scalable and complex supply chain models and processes to develop forecasting, inventory management & supply chain network strategies with the goal of growing sellers, SKUs, inventory health for WFS, and delivering an excellent customer experience while achieving operating cost and service targets.
  • Develop strong relationships & partner with functional areas like product, data science, engineering, business operations, supply chain, category managers to drive initiatives.
  • Lead business planning & intelligence function by developing bottom-up modeling approach for creating annual operating plans and long range plans. Monitor progress for the plans and pivot when actuals do align with plans.
  • Identify areas of opportunity and influence execution of results via cross-functional participation to enable quick wins and continuous improvement.
  • Obtain alignment from relevant business partners and management support for projects and lead discussions to drive change.
  • Effectively organize, assemble, and use all available resources when given a project to ensure success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years' experience in an analytics related field.
  • Or Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field.
  • Or 7 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data science, machine learning, optimization models, PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R, Supervisory experience, Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch), We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
