Job Title: Manager, Data Science 2

PayPal is seeking a highly skilled Manager, Data Science 2 to join our team in San Jose, CA. As a key member of our data science team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data-driven solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design and implement data analytical projects to improve customer experiences and growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, design, and marketing teams to build world-class products and design hypothesis-driven experiments.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and ad hoc analysis to monitor product performance and identify key metrics.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior-level stakeholders, including technical recommendations for algorithmic advancements.
  • Plan and direct the work of data scientists, including brainstorming and identifying key metrics, analyzing data, and reviewing and editing executive dashboards and business cases.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field, plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, and statistical modeling.
  • Experience with Tableau and regression and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

PayPal offers a competitive salary range of $171,430-259,600 per annum, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and life insurance, employee shares options, and more.
