Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Data Science and Product Analytics to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the Data Science and Product Analytics functions, creating strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, and influencing business strategy through data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Data Science and Product Analytics functions, including experimentation and growth initiatives.
  • Partner with product leadership to influence business strategy through data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new growth opportunities, develop data requirements, and establish critical metrics.
  • Design, deploy, and evaluate experiments to drive business performance and customer experience.
  • Research new technologies and methods across data science and data engineering to improve the technical capabilities of the team.
  • Communicate insights to senior leaders by distilling complex analysis and concepts into concise business-focused takeaways.
  • Foster an action-bias culture for product innovation and delivery, high performance, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Build a diverse, equitable, inclusive culture that helps all members feel like they belong.
  • Bring customer centricity to your entire team.
  • Hire, retain, and scale a world-class data science and analytics team.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading experimentation and growth initiatives.
  • Experience with driving successful platform adoption programs, with the ability to demonstrate the business impact of such initiatives.
  • Data-driven mindset: you know that everything built must be measured to understand its impact on the business and drive your teams to build with that in mind.
  • Customer centricity: you understand that customer behavior and sentiment must be well understood to effectively build products for them.
  • Experience defining and scaling modern products (API, self-service, UX first products).
  • Highly effective communicator with good people instincts - able to build trust and work well with a diverse group both internally and externally.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • High degree of humility and accountability.
  • 5+ years of experience leading, growing, and retaining a high-performance data science and/or product analytics team.
