Director of Admissions

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Admissions Director to join our team at Apex Rehabilitation and Healthcare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining relationships with referral sources, including case managers, physicians, social workers, community organizations, and hospitals.

Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and facilitate the admission process, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and service. You will work closely with our clinical team to verify insurance, conduct interviews and tours of our facility, and educate family members, clients, and prospective accounts about our services and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Referral Development: Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources to increase census and promote the quality of care and services provided by our facility.
  • Admission Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate the admission process, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and service.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify insurance coverage for patients and families.
  • Client Education: Educate family members, clients, and prospective accounts about our services and programs.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Complete weekly, monthly, and other reports as assigned, in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Professional Development: Maintain current knowledge and understanding of client payment sources, including HMO, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and other relevant programs.

Requirements:

  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven ability to lead and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles and practices, including marketing, sales, and customer service.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data and solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
