Pediatric Dentistry Faculty

Job Summary:
The Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, invites applications for a part-time, teacher-clinician position. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching pediatric dentistry at the pre-doctoral level, with a focus on providing high-quality education and training to students.
Responsibilities:
- Preclinical instruction in pediatric dentistry
- Clinical instruction in pediatric dentistry
- Specialty preparatory activities
- Teaching activities in interdisciplinary courses and other departments in the school
Requirements:
- Current knowledge of the AAPD Pediatric Dentistry Reference Manual
- Dental school educational processes
- Restorative and preventive information and technique
- Education: DDS/DMD or international equivalent; degree earned from ADA-accredited school of dentistry is preferred
- Certificate or Master's degree indicating successful completion of an ADA-accredited specialty training program in pediatric dentistry is required
- Current, active license to practice dentistry
- Valid CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board certification by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is desirable, but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population of patients, students, staff, faculty, and administration
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively as a team with administrators, faculty, staff, and students
