Job Title: Pediatric Dentistry Faculty Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced pediatric dentistry faculty member to join our team at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. As a part-time teacher-clinician, you will be responsible for teaching pediatric dentistry at the pre-doctoral level, as well as participating in community outreach activities and other departmental responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Preclinical instruction in pediatric dentistry
  • Clinical instruction in pediatric dentistry
  • Specialty preparatory activities
  • Teaching activities in interdisciplinary courses and other departments in the school
Requirements:
  • Current knowledge of the current edition of the AAPD Pediatric Dentistry Reference Manual
  • Dental school educational processes
  • Restorative and preventive information and techniques
  • DDS/DMD or international equivalent; degree earned from ADA-accredited school of dentistry is preferred
  • Certificate or Master's degree indicating successful completion of an ADA-accredited specialty training program in pediatric dentistry is required
  • Current, active license to practice dentistry
  • Valid CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Board certification by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is desirable, but not required
Physical Requirements:

Faculty should have sufficient motor function to execute movements essential to providing oral health care to patients.

Compensation:

The hiring range for this position is $50 per hour.
