At Brightcove Inc., we are seeking a seasoned VP of Product Marketing to lead our customer engagement efforts through compelling messaging, positioning, and competitive insights.

Job Description

  1. Messaging and Positioning: Develop and articulate clear and differentiated value propositions that resonate with our target audience.
  2. Positioning: Craft messaging and positioning for key buyer personas, showcasing the unique benefits of our solutions.
  3. Competition: Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor analysis to inform our messaging and positioning strategies.
  4. Thought Leadership: Establish a thought leadership strategy aligned with our core values, collaborating with industry experts, analysts, and creators to elevate our story.
  5. New Product Introduction: Lead cross-functional teams to execute product launches that highlight innovation and drive demand.
  6. Sales Enablement: Create and deliver sales training materials, presentation decks, customer case studies, solution briefs, FAQs, and battle cards to empower our sales team.
  7. Marketing Content: Collaborate with communications teams to develop strategic content that feeds branding and lead generation efforts.
  8. Product Launch: Drive external market launches of future products and releases in partnership with Product Management.
  9. Competitive Intelligence: Serve as the expert on competition, ensuring the sales team knows how to differentiate and de-position them in the field.
  10. Voice of Customer: Foster competitive intelligence, customer insights, category trends, and thought leadership to inform our product marketing strategies.
  11. Partner Marketing: Assist in developing strategic partnerships and co-marketing initiatives that amplify our reach.
  12. Packaging & Pricing: Develop compelling packaging and pricing for our growing set of offerings, along with supporting sales tools.
  13. Internal Partnership: Work collaboratively with leadership to establish a roadmap for driving revenue growth through strategic business planning.
  14. Data-Driven Decision Making: Build data-backed measurable KPIs for all product marketing activities.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years' experience in senior product marketing leadership roles within global B2B and SaaS organizations.
  • A people-focused leader with the ability to build and mentor talented teams, develop individuals, and link performance to culture and overall business objectives.
  • Strong experience presenting externally to media, customers, and partners, as well as internally to senior executives.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering enterprise-wide product marketing strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans in product marketing.
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product, and service management.
