Overview:
ASRC Federal Professional Services is in search of a proactive individual with a strong background in Operations Security (OPSEC) program oversight to contribute to the Security Office's mission. The coordinator will be instrumental in managing OPSEC initiatives by formulating policies and facilitating OPSEC operations across various commands. This role involves reviewing existing policies and advising on necessary updates to ensure compliance with relevant regulations governing the OPSEC framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and sustain the OPSEC program for the organization.
- Conduct thorough OPSEC evaluations, assessments, and surveys in line with established OPSEC protocols.
- Develop and refine the Critical Information and Indicators List (CIIL).
- Create, update, and monitor OPSEC training programs for military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
- Establish and lead the OPSEC working group.
- Draft official documents and support actions as needed.
- Formulate policies related to identity management and social media awareness.
- Engage in activities aimed at mitigating Insider Threats.
- Collaborate with other security-related initiatives within the organization.
The OPSEC coordinator will require regular access to classified systems to fulfill job responsibilities. Options for remote work are limited.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully fulfill the responsibilities associated with this role.
- Experience in managing correspondence, tracking tasks, and ensuring document accuracy is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- A current active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is mandatory.
Education and Experience:
- OPSEC Program Manager certification (Interagency OPSEC Support Staff OPSE-2390 or equivalent) is required.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an OPSEC program management or coordination role is necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) is expected.
Preferred Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience in OPSEC management within a large organization is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with drafting and processing policy documents is advantageous.
- Experience with DoD task management systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of Insider Threat operational frameworks is beneficial.
