Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Senior Management regarding member relations and sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on staffing updates and changes.
  • Ensure all promotional materials and displays are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive workplace by documenting and addressing any reports of harassment, discrimination, or safety issues.
  • Procure necessary supplies from various vendors as required.
  • Manage club expenses effectively, focusing on payroll and supply orders to stay within budget.
  • Oversee inventory management to prevent shortages, including securing retail items and processing new stock efficiently.
  • Handle cash management by accurately recording transactions and ensuring timely bank deposits.
  • Meet financial objectives set by Corporate on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and contribute to team discussions.
  • Provide feedback to Corporate on potential improvements for club operations and market strategies.

Member Engagement:

  • Greet every member and guest warmly, using their names whenever possible.
  • Assist members in achieving their fitness goals by providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure adherence to check-in procedures and safety protocols.
  • Address incoming inquiries promptly and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Resolve member service concerns, including lost items, check-in issues, and billing inquiries.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through assigned training and reading materials.
  • Promote and facilitate membership and personal training sales.
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities are functioning properly; report any maintenance needs immediately.
  • Address any incidents or member concerns swiftly, documenting them appropriately.

Facility Maintenance and Safety:

  • Keep work areas tidy and organized.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and communicate any concerns to the Maintenance team or Senior Management.
  • Ensure proper re-racking of weights and cleaning of equipment as necessary.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • 10 Fitness approved Personal Training Certification is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • The role often requires standing for extended periods, walking, kneeling, reaching, and effective communication.
  • The employee may occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Employees may be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts while performing job duties.
  • There may be exposure to elevated noise levels in the work environment.
