About the Role
Waccamaw EOC, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Education Leader to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head Start Director, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the educational journey of young children enrolled in our program.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive educational strategies aligned with funding source objectives, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for all children.
- Cultivate a nurturing and supportive social-emotional environment across all centers, fostering intellectual growth, self-reliance, and physical development in each child.
- Empower parents by providing guidance on observation skills and facilitating effective communication with staff regarding their child's progress.
- Design and deliver individualized programs that cater to the unique needs of children from diverse backgrounds, promoting inclusivity and equitable learning opportunities.
- Oversee ongoing assessments, evaluations, and documentation of each child's growth and development, ensuring accurate records and informed decision-making.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and age-appropriate physical environment conducive to learning across all centers, adhering to state licensing requirements and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other Head Start Programs, educational institutions, and community partners to enrich the curriculum and foster meaningful connections for children and families.
- Lead the implementation of approved assessments, ensuring data-driven insights inform program improvement and individual child support.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Center Supervisors, fostering a collaborative and supportive leadership team.
- Monitor budgets meticulously, ensuring responsible financial management within each center's allocated resources.
- Serve as a technical advisor to other childcare programs, sharing expertise and best practices in early childhood education.
- Procure necessary furniture, equipment, and learning materials to support effective teaching and learning environments.
We seek an individual with a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering the holistic development of young learners. A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required, along with significant experience in leading and managing educational programs.
Candidates with a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent advanced qualifications will be given preference.
