This is a confidential search for a nationwide provider in the building materials sector. We are looking for experienced Commodity Traders across various industries.

It is important to note that this position is not intended for those new to the field. Our commission structure is among the best in the industry, and our client expects candidates to bring their own established client base. While resources and support will be provided, this role operates with complete autonomy. You can choose to work as little as 2 hours a week or as much as 60, depending on what you believe is necessary to achieve results.

  • NO benefits
  • 1099 contractor status
  • Commission structure: (Once a new commission bracket is reached, it remains for the following year)
    • 0-250k 50%
    • 250k-400k 55%
    • over 400k 60%
  • No fixed schedule, performance-driven
  • Comprehensive support staff for administration and dispatching

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate profitable new business opportunities that can scale
  • Establish long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster and expand growth prospects
  • Continuously adapt and enhance your understanding of the competitive market
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive success
  • Employ economic insights and critical thinking to secure sustainable long-term achievements
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction
  • Conduct all business dealings lawfully and with integrity

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • At least 3 years of experience in building relationships and commodity trading (not limited to purchasing/procurement)
  • Willingness to travel as business needs arise
  • We aim to diversify; we welcome professionals from all commodity sectors: metals, agriculture, crude oil, coal, shingles, hardwood, lumber, etc.
