Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Siemens Healthineers. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses, and provide exceptional patient care and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and other modalities, to assist in the diagnosis of patient illness.
  • Locate and record internal elements of the body, and identify any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
  • Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts.
  • Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.
  • Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
  • Review tests with peers and physicians.
  • Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested.
  • Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers.
  • Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, log data into patient information systems, and update file systems for tests performed.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and work space.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and readjust equipment or write referrals for repair.
  • Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
  • Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedure.
  • Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs.
  • Administer contrast agents under the guidance and approval of site Radiologist.
  • Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed.
  • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems.
  • Call for service and notify all pertinent team members.
  • Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
  • Radiographer background with a minimum of 1 year hospital or 2 years clinic experience required, specifically in ER, OR, Trauma, and Portables.
  • Valid ARRT license, registered in Radiography.
  • Valid CPR certificate.
  • State license in IA (will consider candidate that doesn't have this, if willing to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal needed.
  • Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
