This is a confidential search for a nationwide building materials provider. We are seeking Commodity Traders for ALL industries. 

 

I must stress that this role is not designed for newcomers. Our commission structure is at the top of the industry for a reason and our client expects you to bring your own book of business. They'll provide any resources and support you need, but this role is 100% autonomous. Work 2 hours a week or 60, whatever you believe it takes to get the job done, we are only interested in results.

  • NO benefits
  • 1099 employees
  • Commission brackets: (Once they hit a new bracket they don't go back in % the next year it all rolls over)
    • 0-250k 50%
    • 250-400 55%
    • over 400k 60%
  • No set schedule, all performance based
  • Full support staff with admin and dispatching

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and build profitable new business that can be scalable
  • Build long-term relationships with suppliers to develop and expand growth opportunities
  • Adapt and grow your understanding of the competitive landscape
  • Work with and through cross-functional teams to achieve success
  • Utilize economic and critical thinking skills to achieve sustainable long-term success
  • Provide excellent customer focus to result in client satisfaction
  • Conduct all affairs lawfully and with integrity

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

 

  • Minimum 3 years experience in building relationships and commodity trading (not just buying/procurement)
  • Ability to travel as business needs are warranted
  • We are looking to diversify, we want professionals from all commodities: metals, agriculture, crude oil, coal, shingle, hardwood, lumber, etc)
