About the Role

The John Stewart Company is a leading provider of housing management, development, and consulting services. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housing Management Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process rental applications and leases to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, vendors, and colleagues, exercising good judgment and discretion in all interactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident files, adhering to established regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist residents with interim and annual recertifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor resident compliance with lease agreements, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with subsidized housing programs and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Minimum two years' experience in housing management, social services, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Tax Credit Specialist or Certified Occupancy Specialist, are highly desirable.
