The laundry service specialist is expected to deliver prompt, courteous, friendly, and professional service to all guests. They are tasked with maintaining superior quality service for patrons. While performing daily responsibilities, attention to detail is crucial, alongside maintaining an efficient workflow. The specialist will comply with all established rules and guidelines set forth for departmental employees.
Initial Responsibilities:
- Clock in and collect necessary keys.
- Check and replenish pool towels as needed.
- Clean the fitness area and ensure water supplies are adequate.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Assist housekeeping with room preparation, including providing cribs and additional bedding as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all laundry equipment and linens.
- Ensure proper and efficient operation of laundry machinery.
- Store all cleaning supplies in designated areas.
- Report any damaged linens to the supervisor promptly.
- Keep the laundry space organized and tidy.
- Provide sufficient linens for housekeeping staff to fulfill their duties effectively.
- Train and guide new employees on techniques and procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to meet the standards established by the organization.
Final Responsibilities:
- Verify that all tasks are completed.
- Shut down all equipment properly.
- Secure the work area before leaving.
- Return keys to the designated location.
- Clock out and review the upcoming schedule.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Organized, capable of multitasking, quick to learn, and able to work effectively in a team setting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Skilled in recognizing and resolving issues promptly.
- Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 50 lbs during shifts.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform job duties throughout the duration of the shift.
