Ecommerce Site Merchandiser

A successful Site Merchandiser is dedicated to enhancing the customer journey and driving revenue through effective merchandising strategies. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong communication abilities, and a blend of analytical and creative problem-solving skills. This role reports to the Site Merchandising Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee visual merchandising on the eCommerce platform to create an engaging product experience that boosts customer conversion rates.
  • Manage product setup from inception to completion, collaborating with Copywriters and Buyers on product specifics, sourcing visuals, and ensuring high-quality web images while leading the initial merchandising process, including categorization and hierarchy.
  • Handle the procurement and editing of product images, managing all assets from external vendors to ensure they are ready for the web and uploaded as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with Buying and Marketing teams to remain informed about product assortments, promotions, and key focus areas for upcoming seasons.
  • Accountable for maintaining product data through active management and regular audits of categorization.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance product display pages through improved product attributes, imagery, or user experience.
  • Oversee the inventory movement of merchandise designated for photography and serve as a liaison with photography and studio teams.
  • Monitor the activation and visibility of key products on the site to ensure robust support for email and digital marketing efforts.
  • Work with the Ecommerce Merchandising Team to strategize and implement merchandising tactics that elevate conversion rates, average order value, basket size, and upselling opportunities.
  • Utilize analytics tools such as Google Analytics to identify merchandising opportunities.
  • Support website maintenance and enhancements through user testing and feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service team to resolve product or customer issues that arise on the site.
  • Stay updated on eCommerce, market, and industry trends.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred college degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally in customer service situations.
  • Capable of working independently, demonstrating resourcefulness, accountability, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn various software applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work onsite in a corporate environment.
