The Senior Ecommerce Merchandiser plays a crucial role in enhancing the customer journey and boosting revenue through an effective front-end content and merchandising approach. This position involves the daily oversight of website content, execution of merchandising strategies, and enhancements to user experience. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, strong communication abilities, and a natural aptitude for problem-solving. This individual will have a talent for crafting unique product narratives that resonate with our clientele and drive sales growth.

The Senior Ecommerce Merchandiser will report directly to the Ecommerce Site Manager.

JOB PURPOSE:

A successful Senior Ecommerce Merchandiser is focused on enhancing the customer experience and driving revenue growth through a compelling front-end content and merchandising strategy. This role encompasses the daily management of website content, execution of merchandising initiatives, and enhancements to user experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess effective communication skills, and be a natural problem solver. This individual will curate unique product stories that resonate with our customers and stimulate sales growth. The Senior Ecommerce Merchandiser will report to the Senior Ecommerce Digital Site Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Enhance and execute content and digital merchandising strategies on the Ecommerce site to deliver an engaging consumer experience that improves conversion rates, average order value, basket size, upsell, and profitability.
• Oversee brand content and merchandising to support campaign launches, product activations, and creative content.
• Lead merchandising strategies on the site, including visually merchandising campaigns, maintaining upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and managing seasonal digital catalogs and campaign launches.
• Regularly monitor site taxonomy navigation and product shopping categories to drive product browsing and add-to-cart behaviors.
• Curate merchandise assortments that resonate with our customers, align with marketing strategies, and drive conversion.
• Manage homepage and landing page content strategy, conception, and implementation in collaboration with the Graphic Design team for digital content creation.
• Influence content creation using analytics and competitive analysis to drive brand advocacy and consumer engagement based on industry trends in the digital space.
• Maintain on-site search reporting and optimize site search to enhance the shopping experience and site conversion.
• Implement A/B tests and develop personalization campaigns to optimize and improve site conversion.
• Ensure content and merchandising strategies are closely aligned with stores and play a key role in the omnichannel strategy.
• Align digital strategies and site activations to ensure that email and digital marketing efforts are well supported.
• Utilize analytics to identify content and merchandising opportunities and optimize the site.
• Provide KPI reporting to leadership and cross-functional teams with insights and recommendations, including product and trend performance, content analysis, and conversion rates, ensuring benchmarks are met.
• Collaborate with Buying and Marketing departments to stay informed on product assortments and promotions, as well as key focus areas for upcoming seasons.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance agility.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred college degree in marketing, business, communications, or a closely related field, or equivalent job experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Ecommerce/retail.
• Understanding of apparel retailing and the digital landscape.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally in customer service situations.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating resourcefulness, accountability, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn various software programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work onsite in a corporate office environment.
