Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Center Associate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers, ensuring their vehicles are properly maintained, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or questions in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services for vehicles, adhering to company standards and procedures.
  • Inspect vehicles for potential issues or areas requiring attention, identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Conduct basic maintenance tasks, such as tire rotations and fluid level checks, to ensure vehicles are properly maintained.
  • Utilize basic computer knowledge to process transactions and manage inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with a focus on building rapport with customers.
  • Ability to learn and follow the VIOC SuperPro process for all services.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive and productive work atmosphere.

Essential Functions

  • Inspect and replace car lights and wipers.
  • Check fluid levels and add fluids to vehicles as necessary.
  • Inspect and replace engine air filters and cabin air filters.
  • Add oil to engines in the proper amount based on vehicle specifications.
  • Remove, rotate, lift, and reinstall tires for tire rotation services.
  • Lubricate necessary components of the chassis and driveline.
  • Perform additional services on cooling systems and transmissions.
  • Perform second checks by visually verifying and performing proper callouts to ensure all necessary services have been performed correctly.
  • Move from bay to bay to perform services on multiple vehicles.
  • Ascend, descend, and navigate stairs, catwalks, and stepstools to retrieve vehicle parts or perform services.
  • Work for extended periods with arms above the head when performing services underneath vehicles on a catwalk.
  • Position self to perform required services under the hood, related to tires, or on catwalks working underneath vehicles.
  • Move and transport items up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Work with tools to perform duties in tight, sometimes hard-to-reach areas.
  • Communicate verbally and receive verbal communication to ensure services are performed accurately, safely, and in the proper order.

Environment

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Be subject to hazards, including proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, high heat, and chemicals.
  • Be exposed to atmospheric conditions, including fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, and restricted ventilation.
  • Function in narrow aisles or passageways, such as catwalks.
