Job Title: Retail General Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of our retail operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex retail environments, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, and driving business growth through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate the various operational activities of our retail assets, including property management, marketing, and leasing.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business plans to maximize NOI growth, manage expenses, and drive revenue.
  • Manage all functions of property accounting, including A/R, A/P, CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Prepare monthly operating reports, including executive summaries and detailed budget-to-actual variances.
  • Collaborate with leasing representatives to develop and implement leasing strategies, identify new revenue opportunities, and ensure tenant compliance with lease terms.
  • Proactively respond to tenant issues, conduct formal and informal tenant meetings, and promote/discuss marketing, entertainment, operations, and security.
  • Work with security services providers to establish customized safety and security programs and emergency management plans.
  • Contract with outside vendors, develop scope of work documents, and monitor contractor performance.
  • Develop and retain a highly skilled team, providing employees with appropriate tools and training to create an environment that maximizes performance and adheres to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate management, hospitality, or related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in property/asset management, preferably in a mixed-use or commercial real estate environment.
  • Florida Real Estate license. Industry certifications (i.e. IREM, BOMA, CCIM, ICSC) preferred.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software platforms, including Yardi and Angus.
