Healthcare Support Specialist

Position Overview
A Healthcare Support Specialist plays a vital role in patient care by accurately measuring and recording vital signs. They are responsible for recognizing patient needs and effectively communicating these to the healthcare team. The duties of a Clinical Care Assistant include assisting with patient mobility, ensuring comfort, and meeting medical requirements as necessary. Additionally, they support nursing staff by performing tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting blood samples, administering medications, and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis. These professionals typically operate in various healthcare environments, predominantly within hospitals or skilled nursing facilities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A minimum of a High School diploma is essential, along with the successful completion of a state-approved training program.
- State certification may be required.
- Phlebotomy certification may also be necessary.
Work Schedule:
Shift times can vary, including options such as 3 PM to 11 PM, 11 PM to 7 AM, and 7 AM to 7 PM.
